🚧 Road Closure – 127th St W at Cortez Rd W 🚧

Manatee County will implement a full road closure at 127th St W and Cortez Rd W to allow continued utility adjustments for the future Cortez Bridge Replacement Project. This closure will be in place April 21 through late June 2025.

Please follow the posted detour via Harbor Landings Dr and 119th St W. There will be no impact to eastbound or westbound traffic on Cortez Rd at this time.

Manatee County Utilities will be closing Franklin Ave (39th Ave E) between 17th St E and US 301 for sanitary lift station improvements.

This closure will be from April 14 – May 1.

Due to median barrier wall damage and upcoming repairs, Manatee County will require turn lane closures on University Parkway at Lockwood Ridge Road in both directions.

One eastbound and one westbound left turn lane will remain closed until repairs are completed. This closure is anticipated to be in effect through April 24.

Please use caution in the area and allow extra time for travel. Thank you for your understanding as we work to keep our roads safe!

Please use Manor Hill Ln and the looped portion of Stone River Rd for alternate access.

The program provides 0% interest-deferred payments for a 20-year term to make code-related repairs to homesteaded properties or replace dilapidated single-family structures. Those who need help completing and submitting an online entry form can call (941) 749-3030. County staff will use a lottery-style drawing to determine the order in which eligible applicants will be qualified and assisted. Funding will be awarded to households who meet the eligibility requirements until all funds have been committed. Priority will be given to those households impacted by Tropical Storm Debby, Hurricane Milton or Hurricane Helene in accordance with the Manatee County Local Housing Assistance Plan. To be eligible, households must be located in Unincorporated Manatee County or City of Palmetto.
